How to: Change the default appearance of cells on a datasheet.
Solution:
Select 'Options...' from the 'Tools' menu, make the desired change in the 'Default Cell Effect' group of the 'Datasheet' tab, and click 'Apply' or the 'OK'.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'Datasheet' tab.
3) To change the default cell appearance on datasheets, do one of the following in the 'Default Cell Effect' group:
the Default Cell Effect group
a) Select the 'Flat' radio button to change from the sunken or raised effect to flat.
b) Select the 'Sunken' radio button to change from the flat or raised effect to sunken.
c) Select the 'Raised' radio button to change from the flat or sunken effect to raised.
4) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Apply' to apply the new settings and keep the 'Options' dialog box open.
NOTE: Click 'Apply' when there are changes that need to be made to settings on another tab. This avoids having to re-open the 'Options' dialog box.
b) Click 'OK' to apply the new settings and close the 'Options' dialog box.
